Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Analytics Engineer III to transform raw data into trusted models and reports for decision support within the ACV Assurance team.

You will design dbt models, enforce data quality, and build Omni BI dashboards, surfacing insights on arbitration risk and product initiatives. The role aims to reduce ad-hoc bottlenecks and enable self-serve analytics, including AI-assisted querying.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI.
• Hands-on production experience with dbt (model design, testing, documentation, incremental strategies).
• Expert-level SQL; comfortable with window functions, complex joins, and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models serving as the single source of truth for Assurance KPIs.
• Enforce data quality through tests, freshness checks, and documentation.
• Write complex SQL transformations for cost and performance optimization.
• Translate business questions into analytical requirements and define metrics.
• Build upon Omni BI semantic layer for self-serve analytics and reporting.
• Deliver clear data narratives to non-technical stakeholders.
