Job summary

Taxwell is seeking an Analytics Engineer II to join our Data Analytics Engineering team. You will build reliable data models and scalable transformation pipelines, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into clean, reusable datasets and consistent metrics.

You will independently deliver analytics solutions within established patterns while using AI-assisted development tools to enhance SQL development, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, BI, or related data role.
• Strong SQL skills with complex joins, window functions, and optimization.
• Experience with dbt, modular models, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse.
• Familiarity with data quality, governance, and data lineage principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models and transformations using dbt and Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support reporting and analytics.
• Own work from requirements to deployment and support.
• Clarify requirements with stakeholders and translate into datasets and metrics.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate new data sources and troubleshoot.
• Maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation.
