Textron is seeking a Data Engineer II to design, build, and optimize scalable data infrastructure that powers analytics and decision-making across the organization. You will lead complex data engineering projects, mentor juniors, and partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, well-governed data assets.

The role requires strong ETL/ELT experience, expertise in Python/Java/Scala, SQL, cloud data platforms, and data modeling, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
• Strong programming and data pipeline design skills.

• Design, architect, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery across systems.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Develop data validation and testing frameworks to ensure data quality and governance.
• Oversee ETL/ELT processes and real-time streaming alongside batch processing.
• Mentor Data Engineer I team members and promote best practices in the group.
