Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking an Analytics Engineer for the Employee Technology Support (ETS) team in New York. You will design data models, ETL pipelines, and BI apps to turn raw data into decision-ready information supporting operations and employee experience.

You’ll partner with ETS, Engineering, Product, and business stakeholders to translate challenges into scalable data solutions. You will build dashboards and KPIs, modernize legacy workflows, and implement automated data validation and monitoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of experience building data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics solutions.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large relational datasets.
• Strong Python development experience for data engineering, automation, and ETL workflows.
• Experience building scalable data models, pipelines, reporting solutions, and dashboard applications.
• Experience with Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation techniques, and operational reporting.
• Experience performing root cause analysis and translating findings into business recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, independently prioritize work, and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and BI applications to support operational datasets.
• Build automated data flows and reporting, and develop intuitive dashboards.
• Improve data quality, modernize legacy workflows, and create monitoring frameworks for data reliability.
• Analyze complex datasets to surface trends, root causes, and KPIs for operational efficiency and employee experience.
• Own data platforms, pipelines, and reporting frameworks end-to-end across ETS.
• Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.
