Cracker Barrel is seeking a senior analytics engineer at its Store Support Center to design, develop, and maintain dbt models in Snowflake, delivering scalable data products for enterprise reporting and AI use cases.

You will translate business KPIs into robust data solutions, collaborate across technical and business teams, and advance CI/CD practices while ensuring data quality and governance across the data platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years in analytics engineering, BI, data warehousing, or related areas.
• 3+ years of advanced SQL development experience.
• Experience building analytical solutions on a cloud-based data platform.
• Experience with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, technical data solutions.
• Strong collaboration across technical and business teams.
• Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain dbt models within Snowflake.
• Transform data into reusable analytical datasets and business-ready data products.
• Design dimensional models including fact and dimension tables and hierarchies.
• Develop Gold-layer models for enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
• Ensure models align with standards for architecture, naming, security, and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate KPI definitions into metric calculations.
• Build datasets supporting Power BI semantic models and self-service reporting.
• Document logic, lineage, dependencies, and data-product certification.
• Implement automated dbt tests and validation controls for data quality.
• Monitor production data products and troubleshoot transformations and performance.
