Job summary

Tucows is seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to extract actionable insights from data. You will design data models in Snowflake, build pipelines with dbt, and develop BI dashboards with Looker.

The role blends data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML applications to empower decision-making across the organization. You’ll collaborate with product and engineering teams, craft automated Python workflows, and push for best practices in data governance and AI-enabled data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Statistics required; Master’s preferred.
• 2+ years of data analytics experience with AI/ML in analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience optimizing complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and building data models.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data cloud and Looker BI.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
• Strong Python skills for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with ETL and Airflow; Docker for development.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models in Snowflake using dbt.
• Leverage Snowflake Intelligence features for AI-driven insights.
• Write advanced SQL queries to analyze large datasets.
