Broadstone Net Lease, Inc. is seeking an Analytics Engineer to create data pipelines, dashboards, and APIs that power reporting and analytics across the organization.

The role partners with internal teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, leveraging AI coding tools and contributing to the modern data platform led by the Director, Corporate Finance & Business Analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 1–3+ years in data/analytics engineering.
• Familiarity with Power BI, including building datasets.
• Azure Data Factory, Functions, or DevOps experience preferred.
• Experience building or consuming APIs with FastAPI.
• Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs or AI-assisted development a plus.
• Azure WebApp services a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design dashboards, analytics, and scalable data products for decision support.
• Build and maintain automated data pipelines ingesting data from internal systems and external vendor APIs.
• Write and optimize SQL; contribute to database design, schema, and data modeling.

The Analytics Engineer will support the development of Broadstone Net Lease's modern, automated data platform by building data pipelines, models, and APIs that power reporting, business analytics, and internal applications across the organization. The individual will leverage their interest in understanding how our business works in partnership with internal teams to support and implement durable, scalable data solutions, in addition to related projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate will work analytically, communicate effectively, prioritize multiple projects, and demonstrate the ability to succeed in a dynamic, growing environment. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Finance & Business Analytics.

• Work with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and design dashboards, analytics, and scalable data products that answer real questions and drive decisions
• Build and maintain automated data pipelines that ingest data from internal systems and external vendor APIs
• Write and optimize SQL and contribute to database design, schema and data modeling, and warehouse architecture
• Leverage AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, codex) to accelerate development while reading, understanding, and validating all AI-generated code, taking full ownership of the correctness and quality of work reaching production
• Integrate LLM/AI capabilities into BNL solutions where needed
• Develop and evaluate options in infrastructure planning to support new applications and technologies
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and design dashboards, analytics, and scalable data products that answer real questions and drive decisions
• Partner with analysts and business teams to convert manual processes into automated, reusable data products the organization relies on
• Executes duties and maintains standards in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Additional duties as required
• Overtime hours may be required as job duties demand

Skills/Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Python and SQL programming languages
• Cloud platform exposure; Azure strongly preferred
• Ownership mindset with a drive to convert complex, manual problems into durable, automated solutions
• Business curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how the business works, with a focus on building analytics that solve real problems
• Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, demonstrating resourcefulness in problem-solving and decision-making
• Excellent organization and planning skills; ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and follow through in a timely manner
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of technical knowledge
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Solid work ethic and a professional, proactive, and positive approach to work

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related discipline from a four-year accredited college or university required
• 1-3+ years of data, software, or analytics engineering experience
• Familiarity with Power BI, including building datasets
• Azure Data Factory, Functions, or DevOps experience strongly preferred
• Experience building APIs with FastAPI or consuming external data APIs a plus
• Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs or with AI-assisted development a plus
• Azure WebApp services a plus

Environment and Physical Demands:

• Professional office environment with routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machine; noise level typical of a standard office environment
• Prolonged sitting, computer and telephone use, as well as standing, filing, stooping, bending, reaching and lifting, and carrying up to 15 pounds
• Ability to travel by plane, train, and automobile and operate a motor vehicle

The base salary range for this role is: $65,000 - $80,000. This range is Broadstone’s good faith estimate of the annual base salary it reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of this posting. The stated salary range does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role, such as performance-based cash bonuses and restricted stock grants. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skillset, relevant education & certifications, job-related knowledge, location, and other relevant factors identified through the recruitment & selection process.
