Job summary

World Finance in Greenville, SC is expanding its Operations Analytics team with a dedicated engineer to own the analytics data layer and migrate SQL Server models to Snowflake. You will build curated tables, marts, and a semantic/metrics layer on top of base tables, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation across data products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years combined experience across data engineering and analytics.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on data modeling (dimensional models, marts, semantic layers).
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred) and a transformation framework (e.g., dbt).
• SQL Server / T-SQL and Python — migrating objects to Snowflake.
• Familiarity with orchestration (Airflow) and version control / CI/CD (Git; Azure DevOps a plus).
• Experience building or supporting BI/reporting (Power BI preferred).
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder partnership.
• Demonstrated ownership of data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build the analytics data layer with curated tables, marts, and a semantic/metrics layer on top of the platform's base tables.
• Translate business questions into optimized, well-tested SQL and documented datasets.
• Migrate SQL Server data warehouse models, stored procedures, and jobs into Snowflake per team standards.
• Develop checks for freshness, volume, schema, and business rules to catch issues early.
• Own recurring data products with SLAs, monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
