Job summary

World Acceptance Corporation is expanding its Operations Analytics team by adding an engineer to own the analytics data layer—curated models, marts, and metrics, including rewriting SQL Server objects into Snowflake. You will be the technical translator between Analytics and Data Engineering, ensuring reliable, well-documented data products.

This hands-on role requires strong SQL, data modeling, and cloud warehouse experience, with a focus on performance, cost, and business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years combined experience across data engineering and analytics.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on data modeling (dimensional models, marts, semantic layers).
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred) and a transformation framework (dbt or equivalent).
• SQL Server / T-SQL and Python - migrating objects into Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Build the analytics data layer with curated tables, marts, and a semantic/metrics layer.
• Translate business questions into data products and well-tested datasets.
• Migrate SQL Server models and jobs into Snowflake per team standards.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and documentation; maintain SLAs and runbooks.
