University of Massachusetts Amherst seeks an Assistant Director of Analytics and Assessment to coordinate data-informed decision-making within the Isenberg School of Management. The role emphasizes extracting insights from data to support program planning, effectiveness initiatives, and rankings.

You will oversee teaching load reporting, design dashboards, collaborate with faculty and staff, manage data sources, and contribute to accreditation and reporting processes while ensuring data security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in business analytics or related field.
• Analytically minded with an aptitude for numbers and data visualization.
• Ability to analyze data to support management decisions and improve performance.
• Ability to communicate data insights to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to think through problems and apply critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools such as Tableau.
• Independent initiative and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
• Commitment to customer service and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting related to teaching load and overload information for leadership and university administration.
• Design, implement and maintain dashboards, databases and reporting tools to monitor admissions, enrollment, classroom utilization, retention and outcomes.
• Collaborate with ISOM and university stakeholders to respond to information requests and ensure proper documentation of data sources and policies.
• Translate metrics into reporting requirements and provide actionable recommendations for decision-makers.
• Support AACSB accreditation surveys and reporting on faculty qualifications and learning outcomes.
• Supervise up to 2 student staff and interns and oversee data trainings.
