Job summary

Dow in Orange, Texas is seeking an Analytical Technician to support Sabine River Operations (SRO). You will perform routine analyses (Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration), prepare standards, and maintain instruments to provide data for product release.

This position requires a high school diploma and either a bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience, plus 5+ years in a chemical lab, with a 12-hour rotating shift, weekend/nights/off-hours and LIMS/GC/LC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree or military experience at or above U.S. E5 or Canadian rank.
• 5+ years in chemical laboratory setting.
• 12-hour rotating shift including weekends, nights, holidays.
• Experience with GC/LC or Gel Characterization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analyses (Melt Index, IR, GC, LC, Titration, Film Extrusion).
• Prepare internal and calibration standards and check standards.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on instruments.
• Evaluate data validity, apply basic statistics, and interpret results.
• Monitor analytical systems and troubleshoot; escalate as needed.
