Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is hiring a Scientist II, Analytics - Product Development for our pharmaceutical client in Corona, CA. This role provides analytical support for generic product development programs and performs testing, method development, validation, and data review while collaborating with internal teams, CROs, and CMOs.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in analytical chemistry with hands-on experience in HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer, and related techniques,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field; 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on with analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, Karl Fischer.
• Experience with analytical method development, validation, verification and transfer.
• Familiarity with R&D pharmaceutical environments and regulatory expectations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of materials, in-process and finished products using standard methods.
• Develop, evaluate, validate and verify analytical methods (HPLC, GC, etc.).
• Document testing workflows and ensure regulatory compliance and GDP.
• Analyze results and communicate findings to management and teams.
• Author protocols and reports; review notebooks and instrument logbooks.
• Maintain equipment, perform calibrations and support quality systems.
