Job summary

Cambrex Corporation is seeking an analytical chemist to execute in-process control and release testing for drug substances and products in a regulated environment. You will work under supervision, interpret data, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

The role emphasizes hands-on operation of analytical techniques, maintenance of equipment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • B.S./B.A. Chemistry with 2+ years of experience in related industry.
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, MS and HPLC.
  • Ability to comply with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Execute analytical methods for in-process control, release testing and stability monitoring of bulk drug substances and drug products under cGMP guidelines.
  • Maintain working knowledge of instrumentation and scientific methodologies; perform tasks per SOPs and supervisor instructions.
  • Set up instrumentation for testing with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze data for technical accuracy and communicate results to supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies as directed.
