Job summary

Cambrex is seeking a Chemist I in Quality Control to perform a variety of chemical analyses for the release of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. You will support calibration, maintenance, data review, and method troubleshooting in a cGMP environment.

Candidates should have a BS/BA in chemistry or biology (MS/PhD preferred) and at least 3 years in a laboratory cGMP setting, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in chemistry or biology required; advanced degree preferred.
• Three years in a laboratory cGMP environment or more.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (EPA/FDA/cGMP) and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of chemical analyses for release of materials, intermediates and finished goods.
• Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance programs for analytical instruments.
• Review data, write reports and SOPs, and troubleshoot analytical systems.
• Handle hazardous materials and ensure proper waste disposal; support on‑call as needed.
