Job summary

Cambrex Charles City is seeking a Chemist I in Quality Control to perform chemical analyses ensuring the release of materials and products. The role requires adherence to EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP, and DEA regulations, with responsibilities spanning method development, data review, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments.

The position involves handling hazardous materials, contributing to lab programs, and providing on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology or related science required.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
• Three years in a laboratory cGMP environment (NLT 5 years) with BS or higher.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to EPA, FDA, cGMP, cGLP and DEA regulations in QC lab operations.
• Perform a wide range of chemical analyses for release of materials and products.
• Maintain lab programs including calibration and preventive maintenance.
• Write reports, SOPs and test procedures with accuracy.
• Provide off-shift coverage as needed.
• Train employees and coordinate project status with teams.
