Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; some CAP/CLIA locations may require a BSc in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
• Typically requires 2+ years of experience; minimum 1 year in a regulated laboratory environment preferred.
• Proficiency with laboratory techniques and complex testing procedures supporting sample analysis.
• Ability to perform complex calculations involving batches and specimens.
• Working knowledge of regulatory standards, laboratory safety, infection control, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Analyze routine data, confirm results are within acceptable tolerances, and prepare results for upload to the LIMS.
• Identify unusual results or potential performance errors and escalate findings to senior laboratory personnel.
• Contribute to CAPA investigations, deviations, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and processes while supporting improvements to data quality, cost, and turnaround time.
• Prepare buffers and solutions and perform assigned equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Train laboratory personnel in areas of demonstrated competency and support laboratory or cross-functional projects.
