Job summary

IQVIA Laboratories in Durham, NC seeks an Automation Staff Scientist to provide hands-on scientific and technical leadership for the development and sustainment of digitally integrated laboratory automation workflows. Lead automated genomic technologies and collaborate across science, operations, quality, technology, and vendors.

You will develop and validate automated molecular assays, integrate APIs/LIMS/ELN, and guide teams through experimental designs while pursuing posters and publications.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques and high-throughput sequencers.
Experience developing and validating automated molecular assays using genomic technologies.
Experience extracting DNA/RNA from liquid and tissue samples.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on scientific and technical leadership for automation workflows.
Develop, validate, deploy, and sustain automated molecular assays.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Train users and mentor technical staff.
