Job summary

Novonesis seeks an Analytical Scientist to lead mass spectrometry-based analyses and advanced workflows in a high-throughput lab. You will drive method development, data interpretation, and analytical problem solving to deliver high-quality results for stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on LC-MS with Orbitrap systems, experience with Xcalibur, and strong chemometrics and data handling skills. Travel domestically and internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field with at least 2 years of relevant analytical experience; or a Bachelor's with at least 6 years of relevant analytical experience.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation and workflows.
• Experience with Thermo Scientific Xcalibur software and Orbitrap systems is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of chemometrics, statistical analysis tools, and scientific data handling techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage analytical workflows for analytes using LC-MS, ICP-OES, and other techniques in a high-throughput environment.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain mass spectrometry instrumentation, focusing on Orbitrap platforms.
• Ensure analytical data quality and timely reporting of results to stakeholders.
• Mentor Research Associates in the analytical laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory SOPs, documentation, and inventory systems.
• Drive continuous improvement through new method development and evaluation of emerging technologies.
