Merck in Rahway, NJ seeks a Scientist for its Small Molecule Analytical Research & Development group. You will join a team enabling drug development through analytical characterization and data analysis, contributing to GMP release, stability testing, and method validation.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, ALCOA-compliant documentation, and timely data reporting, with opportunities to contribute to innovations in analytics and quality systems.

Qualifications

• BS with 3+ years of industry experience or MS in a Life Science field.
• Strong communication, written and oral, and cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience with GMP environments and analytical methods is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support GMP release and stability testing for APIs and formulations.
• Document experiments and results following ALCOA principles.
• Troubleshoot GMP testing with cross-functional teams and Quality stakeholders.
• Validate analytical methods for release and stability testing of clinical materials.
• Perform data entry, review, and author analytical reports.
• Collaborate with Analytical R&D and Global Development Quality teams.
• Support internal and regulatory audit/inspection activities.
