Job summary

Fruit of the Earth's Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Quality Analytical Chemist to support analytical method development, validation, and routine QC testing. The role requires time management, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills to ensure quality and compliance.

The position involves coordinating calibration of lab equipment, training staff, and adherence to cGMP, FDA, and SOPs, with standard Monday–Friday hours and a focus on accuracy and timely turnaround.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of laboratory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HPLC, FTIR, UV/Vis spectrophotometer and wet chemistry techniques.
• Knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, OSHA, TDOH and FDA rules and regulations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and validation of analytical methods.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as needed.
• Perform routine QC testing (IR, viscosity, specific gravity, pH, titrations, wet chemistry).
• Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment and standards.
• Analyze raw materials, in-process bulk, finished products, stability and validation samples with minimal supervision.
• Monitor laboratory consumables and manage reagent inventories.
• Ensure proper training of laboratory technicians.
• Ensure all documentation forms are properly filled out and signed/dated.
• Follow required SOPs and protocols.
• Conduct investigations for Out of Specification (OOS) results.
• Provide cover for analytical testing as needed by supervisor.
• Assist management in writing/revising SOPs, test methods and specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
