Job summary

FRUIT OF THE EARTH INC. is seeking a Quality Analytical Chemist to support development and validation of analytical methods and routine QC testing. The role requires strong time-management, attention to detail and compliance with cGMP and FDA guidelines.

You will troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure documentation accuracy in a fast-paced lab. Responsibilities include analysis of raw materials, in-process and finished products, instrument calibration, SOP maintenance, and OOS investigations

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 2–5 years of laboratory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HPLC, FTIR, UV/Visible spectroscopy and wet chemistry techniques.
• Knowledge of cGMP, cGLP, OSHA, TDOH and FDA regulations.
• Strong quality control understanding and documentation skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Empower software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and validation of analytical methods.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation.
• Perform routine QC testing (IR, viscosity, specific gravity, pH, titrations, wet chemistry).
• Calibrate and validate laboratory equipment and standards.
• Analyze raw materials, in-process bulk, finished products, stability and validation samples with minimal supervision.
• Monitor laboratory consumables and manage reagent stock.
• Train laboratory technicians and ensure proper documentation procedures.
• Follow SOPs and required protocols; conduct investigations for OOS results.
• Support SOP/test method/analytical specification writing and revisions.
