Now Foods in Bloomingdale, IL seeks a skilled analytical chemistry professional to develop and validate testing methods for raw materials and products, ensuring quality claims and regulatory compliance. The role includes writing SOPs, performing instrumental analysis, and transferring methods to QC teams.

You will train QC staff, verify methods (AOAC/USP), troubleshoot analytical challenges, and contribute to method improvements and safety compliance in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from a four-year College or technical school in a laboratory science field (i.e. chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or nutritional science)
• A minimum of three years industry laboratory experience, including a minimum of one year method development
• Familiarity with general laboratory safety, procedures, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment experience, including hands-on instrumental analysis (such as analytical balance, pH meter, FTIR, NIR, HPLC, LC-MS, HPTLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES or UV-Vis) is required
• Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, LIMS and Epicor are desired
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Develops scientifically valid testing methods for raw materials and products to meet qualitative and quantitative claims for active ingredients/strength markers
• Writes SOPs, investigations and testing methods in compliance with cGMPs
• Performs lab work and reference searches in analytical chemistry to support NOW product analyses and development
• Provides training and mentoring to QC analytical laboratory staff
• Executes method transfers to QC lab on-site and at satellite locations
• Verifies and applies official analytical methods (AOAC, USP) to materials and finished products
• Troubleshoots and solves problems during analytical method development and QC testing
• Develops procedures for separating and isolating active components to be used as reference standards
• Gathers information about natural products from literature, conferences, and Internet
• Develops procedures for potential savings and efficiency improvementsComplies with safety and GMP requirements.
