Job summary

Redwood Materials Inc. seeks an Analytical Laboratory Technician to perform routine chemical analyses, sample handling, data entry, and instrument support in a safety-focused production facility in Sparks, Nevada.

Under supervision, you will follow SOPs/TCMs, maintain instrumentation, and contribute to quality control. The role builds foundational analytical skills and lab safety, progressing toward independent operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience
• Experience in laboratory settings, quality settings, or chemical production facilities
• Experience with waste handling, safe work practices, data entry and management, good documentation practices and experimental setup and execution
• Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment including lab coats and respirators
• Experience with methods such as ICP-OES, auto-titration, X-Ray Fluorescence, TOC
• Experience with sample prep and chemical handling
• Basic chemistry math and calculations
• Adept with data acquisition and analysis tools including LIMS and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written, verbal communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and work calmly to meet deadlines
• Ability to use a ladder
• Sit or stand for long periods >2 hours
• Passion for sustainability

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques
• Assists with and performs routine chemical, metrological, and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting
• Maintains laboratory instrumentation and equipment, including troubleshooting and verifications
• Works in a production environment, sampling and testing physical characteristics
• Performs additional duties as required, including lab organization, inventory, safety audits, and special projects
• Works effectively in both team and individual environments
