Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks a Laboratory Technician to support safety, quality, and operational excellence across environmental, QC, and safety materials testing. The role uses advanced analytical instrumentation, performs thorough analyses, documents results, and contributes to method development in a team-based environment.

Located at the Munitions & Government-Texarkana-TX office, the successful candidate will uphold SOPs, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with chemists and researchers

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• AA/AS in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or related technical field preferred.
• BA/BS in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or related field preferred.
• 2+ years laboratory analysis experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed chemical and physical analyses on hazardous and non-hazardous samples using wet chemistry, analytical balances, baths, and other lab equipment per SOPs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of instruments to ensure readiness and longevity.
• Document and communicate all test data and observations in reports and data systems for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and validate new analytical methods to improve accuracy and efficiency.
