Job summary

Kelly® Science & Clinical in Ferndale, WA is seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician for a contract-to-hire role supporting major energy and chemical industry testing. The role focuses on routine and specialized petroleum and chemical sample analysis, with hands-on operation of modern instruments and careful data documentation.

The schedule starts with training Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, followed by rotating Day/Swing/Night shifts and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a laboratory or technical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with sample preparation and analytical instrumentation is a plus.
• Attention to detail and high data quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory testing on petroleum and chemical samples following established methods and safety protocols.
• Prepare samples and operate modern analytical instruments to generate accurate results.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to minimize downtime.
• Document procedures and observations in LIMS for traceability and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely workflow and quality assurance.
