• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with relevant laboratory or industrial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and reliability in a laboratory environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new analytical techniques as needed.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed procedures and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with advanced laboratory and data management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping, and security standards.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including viscometers and gas chromatographs.
• Prepare samples and perform routine and non-routine analytical testing.
• Calculate, analyze, interpret, and document test results.
• Maintain compliance with Quality requirements related to data generation and recordkeeping.
• Prepare calibration standards and perform instrument calibrations and SQC checks.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and update P&ID drawings as needed.
• Safely handle hydrocarbon samples and materials.
• Collaborate with Ph.D. chemists and other professionals to support research and testing.
• Assist in training and mentoring new technicians on laboratory procedures and safe work practices.
