Job summary

Alfred H Knight is seeking a Laboratory Technician for its Spartanburg, SC laboratory. The role involves carrying out ICP-OES/FAAS analyses with high precision and reporting results on time, while maintaining auditable records and following safety procedures.

On-site, you will work with the Laboratory Supervisor to support training, data management, and continuous improvement. A high school diploma and basic math/English skills are required, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy required for data handling and reporting.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform ICP-OES and FAAS analyses daily.
• Ensure accuracy and precision per SOPs and good laboratory practice.
• Maintain throughput according to documented methods and timescales.
• Advise Laboratory Supervisor of training or process issues observed.
• Maintain auditable records and laboratory data.
• Process analytical data unsupervised for reporting.
• Assist in extended training programs for new staff.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Keep work areas clean and replenish consumables.
• Adhere to PPE and health and safety procedures.
