Job summary

Alfred H Knight in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analytical methods and SOP-driven analyses with high precision. The role is full-time, on site, with daily use of ICP-OES and FAAS instruments and strict adherence to safety and documentation standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be proficient with MS Office/Google Suite, and demonstrate a keen interest in chemistry with strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Lab experience with analytical instrumentation is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Work daily with ICP-OES and FAAS instrumentation.
• Ensure accuracy and precision following good laboratory practices.
• Maintain throughput as per documented methods and timelines.
• Report to Laboratory Supervisor on training needs.
• Maintain auditable records and lab data.
• Prepare analytic data for reporting.
• Assist in extended training programs.
• Keep work areas clean and PPE procedures.
• Monitor and replenish consumables stocks.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
