Job summary

The Scripps Research Institute in California is seeking a laboratory technician for the Automated Synthesis Facility. You will maintain and operate HPLC (analytical and preparative), LC-MS, SFC, TLC-MS, and automated solid dispense systems while supporting multiple chemistry groups.

You will run submitted samples, develop automated processing and reporting methods, and keep detailed records of instrument usage.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a relevant scientific discipline.
• Up to one year of related experience; 3–6 years may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with HPLC, SFC, and/or Mass Spectrometry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate HPLC (analytical and preparative), LC-MS, SFC, TLC-MS, and automated solid dispense systems.
• Run submitted samples and write automated processing and reporting methods.
• Interface with scientists across research groups and track instrument use; perform other related duties as required.
