Job summary

Dole Packaged Foods is seeking an Analytical Lab Helper to support sample receipt and custody in a busy analytical lab. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary environment and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and related quality standards.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing specific lab rooms, assisting with sample preparation and plating, temperature monitoring, and accurate documentation. This role requires flexible shifts, weekend work, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a microbiology lab setting a plus.
• Must be able to identify cleaning products.
• Must be able to learn, understand and carry out instructions regarding the job and safety procedures in Analytical Lab.
• Must be able to communicate with other employees, visitors, vendors, and management.
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends; overtime as needed.
• Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Conform to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements and quality standards.
• Clean and sanitize designated lab areas (Listeria, Salmonella/E.coli, Microbiology, Preparation, Recording).
• Maintain sanitation of offices, break rooms, restrooms, conference rooms, and warehouse areas.
• Record and dispose of samples per MAM procedures and temperature monitoring.
• Assist with sample preparation and plating; follow blood pathogen procedures.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain lab cleanliness.
