Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced QC Laboratory Lead to head a 24/7 analytical team in a chemical manufacturing setting. This hands-on leadership role oversees laboratory operations, data integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product quality and production efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong chemistry background, 5+ years in analytical/quality control labs, and 3+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

BS or MS Chemistry with 5+ years Analytical/Quality Control Lab experience.
3+ years proven laboratory leadership and continuous improvement skills.
Hands-on with analytical instrumentation and testing methods.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance.
Experience with LIMS, JD Edwards (Oracle) or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a QC Laboratory team and manage daily operations.
Support 24/7 manufacturing by prioritizing workflow and ensuring timely results.
Perform and interpret analytical testing using HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer, Viscometer, NMR.
Oversee organic analytical and wet chemistry testing for materials and finished products.
Review data, authorize product release, and maintain data integrity in ERP/LIMS.
Lead root cause investigations, CAPA activities, and method improvements.
Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs and ISO/QMS compliance.
Manage resources, instrumentation, training, and performance to support production goals.
