Job summary

Materion is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator I to support analytical and quality functions across daily production and shipping targets. The role bridges lab operations with SAP and QMS systems, ensuring accurate data reporting and timely sample handling.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; additional education in analytical chemistry or lab environments preferred.
Strong computer skills with MS Office; ability to learn new software quickly.
Experience in a laboratory setting and ability to communicate with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Lab Reporting: communicate daily operations priority and set targets in sample tracking tools.
Uses SAP and QMS to verify material certifications against production and customer requirements.
Supports data entry and generates non-conformance reports when results are out of specification.
Maintains lab standard dispositions and supports incoming raw materials with documentation.
Manages lab equipment calibration and coordinates with third party vendors.
