Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Chemist to join our laboratory team in California. The role focuses on performing analyses with HPLC, LCMS, and UPLC, preparing standards, and maintaining instrument calibration and SOP-compliant documentation.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or 2–3 years of lab experience, with solid knowledge of GMP/GLP/GDP and strong analytical skills. Work hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, in a on-site setting in Burbank.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, or 2–3 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GDP standards.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and data acquisition software.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid foundation in analytical chemistry principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform standard laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analyses using HPLC, LCMS, UPLC and other appropriate methods with accuracy.
  • Prepare analytical standards and maintain inventory.
  • Conduct daily balance and temperature verifications, and monthly pipette checks.
  • Process and prepare samples following SOPs.
  • Participate in ISO 17025 proficiency testing and other accreditations.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments.
  • Support QA/QC activities and maintain documentation.
  • Generate reports based on analytical results and escalate unusual findings.
