Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a detail‑driven Chemist II to join the analytical laboratory team in New Jersey. The role involves performing routine analytical testing of materials and finished products in a cGMP-regulated environment, operating HPLC/UPLC/GC, dissolution equipment, UV/Vis, FTIR, and more.

You will maintain accurate data records, contribute to method development and validation, and ensure compliance with GMP, ICH, and FDA guidelines while communicating results to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 4 years in a pharmaceutical analytical laboratory or 3 years with a Master's degree.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and wet chemistry as well as USP monograph interpretation.
• Understanding of GMP, ICH, and FDA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing of raw materials, in‑process samples, blends, finished products, and stability samples.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation (HPLC/UPLC/GC, dissolution, UV/Vis, FTIR).
• Ensure timely execution and accurate reporting of results.
• Maintain documentation of raw data, observations, and test results.
• Assist with method development, transfer, and validation activities.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments; ensure cGMP compliance.
