Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Chemist II for our FDA cGMP analytical lab in South Plainfield, NJ. This 100% onsite role offers exposure to LC, GC, ICP-MS, UV, IR, and dissolution testing, supporting method development, validation, and QA release activities.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry degree and 3–5 years in an FDA-regulated lab, with strong HPLC/GC experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry required.
• 3–5 years in an industry chemistry lab; FDA-regulated preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPLC and GC methods.
• Experience in FDA cGMP environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and able to commute to South Plainfield, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute validated analytical methods using LC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution, and related instrumentation.
• Prepare samples of OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanicals.
• Process and review instrument data for QA-ready reporting.
• Maintain detailed, compliant documentation per FDA cGMP requirements.
• Support method development, verification, validation, and transfer activities.
• Participate in investigations including deviations, OOS/OOT, and CAPA.
• Maintain laboratory equipment including calibration and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to OSHA, chemical safety, and waste disposal procedures.
• Occasionally assist with microbiology-related activities (media prep, environmental monitoring, aseptic handling).
