Jobot in South Plainfield, NJ seeks a Chemist II for a 100% onsite FDA cGMP analytical laboratory. The role involves executing validated methods, preparing samples of OTCs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and botanicals, and reviewing data for QA-ready reports.

Extensive instrumentation exposure (LC, GC, ICP-MS, UV, IR, dissolution) supports method development, validation, and QA collaborations. Salary ranges $70,000–$80,000 with DOE; onsite only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry required.
• 3–5 years in an industry chemistry lab (FDA-regulated preferred).
• Hands-on HPLC and GC experience.
• Experience in FDA cGMP environments.
• Familiar with USP/ICH guidelines.
• Experience with OOS/OOT investigations and CAPA.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab.
• Basic microbiology exposure.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Must commute to South Plainfield, NJ (no relocation).

Responsibilities

• Independently execute validated analytical methods using LC, GC, IR, UV, dissolution, and other instrumentation.
• Prepare samples of OTC drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and botanicals.
• Process and review instrument data for QA-ready reporting.
• Maintain detailed, compliant FDA cGMP documentation.
• Support method development, verification, validation, and transfer activities.
• Participate in investigations including deviations, OOS/OOT, and CAPA.
• Maintain laboratory equipment including calibration and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to OSHA and chemical safety procedures; manage waste disposal.
• Occasionally assist with microbiology-related activities.
