Job summary

Qualifications

• General knowledge of organic chemistry fundamentals and analytical methods.
• Proficient with Excel and Word; able to learn LIMS and instrument software quickly.
• Experience with EPA methodologies and laboratory SOPs preferred.
• Able to work independently and meet goals with strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Analyze samples using ICP-OES and combustion IR instruments per SOPs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot instruments; develop/modifiy procedures as needed.
• Analyze soils and fuels; document activities and report results clearly.
• Analyze and report QC samples; identify quality problems to QA.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and prepare sampling supplies.
• Take ownership for meeting goals and collaborate with team as required.
