Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services is seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Chemistry team at the Easton, MD location. You will conduct analyses using LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and related techniques, prepare samples, and maintain documentation in GLP-compliant notebooks.

The role requires a chemistry-related degree with laboratory experience; GLP and agrochemical residue chemistry in CRO settings are preferred. Regular full-time hours with opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry/forensic chemistry or biology with 3 years of relevant lab experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for bachelor’s degree and experience.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is required; GLP experience preferred; agrochemical residue chemistry in CRO env. preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Use diverse analytical methods to investigate test substances in a test system.
• Prepare buffers, measure volumes, dispense liquids with syringes/pipettes, maintain pH, and perform sample prep.
• Perform calculations for stock solutions and quantitative analyses.
• Perform sample extraction and cleanup (SPE, QuEChERS) for water, soil, crops, and animal tissues.
• Operate LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and GC-MS/MS instruments.
• Review data entry and calculations; document work in lab notebooks and logs per SOP/GLP.
• Maintain study data binders and contribute to data summaries and draft reports.
