Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services in Easton, MD, is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Chemistry team. The role involves applying analytical methods to test substances and supporting data generation in a GLP environment.

The successful candidate will have a chemistry-related bachelor’s degree with relevant lab experience, or a master’s degree as substitute, and will work full-time Monday–Friday with potential overtime. Join a diverse team delivering high-quality research for North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry/forensic chemistry or biology with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is required.
• Experience with analytic chemistry under GLP regulations is preferred.
• Experience with agrochemical residue chemistry in a CRO environment is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Use a diverse range of analytical methods for investigation of a test substance in a test system.
• Perform laboratory tasks including balances, measuring volumes, dispensing, buffer prep, pH meter, sample processing, microbial analysis, TOC measurement, and other standard tests.
• Perform calculations for quantitative analysis including stock solutions, regression, and ppm to ppt trace residue.
• Perform sample extraction and cleanup (SPE, QuEChERS) for water, soil, crops, and tissues.
• Operate LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and GC-MS/MS instrumentation.
• Review data entry and calculations and document findings in notebooks and SOPs.
• Contribute to data summaries and draft reports.
