Job summary

Eurofins Agroscience Services in Easton, MD seeks an Associate Scientist to join our Chemistry team. You will perform analyses using LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS and GC-MS/MS to investigate test substances in various matrices such as water, soil, crops and animal tissues.

Responsibilities include method development support, data review, and GLP-compliant documentation. A chemistry-related degree with laboratory experience and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, forensic chemistry or biology with 3+ years in a relevant setting.
• Master's degree may substitute for bachelor’s and experience.
• GLP-regulated lab experience preferred; agrochemical residue CRO experience preferred.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Use diverse analytical methods to investigate test substances in test systems.
• Prepare buffers, measure volumes, and perform sample processing and analysis.
• Perform calculations for standard solutions and trace residue determinations.
• Carry out sample extraction and cleanup (SPE, QuEChERS) for water, soil, crops, and tissues.
• Operate LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS instrumentation; review data and calculations.
• Document work in notebooks and logs; maintain raw data binders.
• Contribute to data summaries and draft reports.
