Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team seeks a full-time Buyer, Technical Projects on site in Miramar, FL. You will support procurement for shipboard and marine-related projects, driving strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration to meet project timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong communication, a strategic mindset, and experience with procurement ERP systems, with familiarity in the cruise industry considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 yrs. of procurement experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international, up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for materials, equipment, and services that support project objectives, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation goals.
  • Challenge specifications, scope requirements, and purchasing assumptions to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions, drive value, avoid over-specification, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead competitive sourcing activities, including supplier identification, RFQ/RFP development, bid evaluation, commercial analysis, and negotiations of pricing, terms, and contractual conditions.
  • Manage the procurement lifecycle from requisition through purchase order issuance, expediting, delivery, and closeout while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
  • Partner with project stakeholders, engineering, operations, and finance to align procurement activities with project milestones, business priorities, and budget expectations.
  • Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost competitiveness, and overall value.
  • Identify market opportunities and supply chain risks, including alternative sources, emerging suppliers, capacity constraints, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Administer commercial agreements and contracts, including renewals, amendments, compliance requirements, and risk management activities.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues and exceptions, including supplier performance concerns, delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, change orders, and other commercial matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement and governance through spend analysis, process optimization, supplier consolidation, accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and adherence to company policies and procurement best practices.

Position Summary

TheProjects Buyeris responsible for supportingallprojects through strategic procurement of goods and services while ensuring alignment with project schedules, stakeholder expectations, procurement governance, and organizational objectives.

This role requires a highly organized, self-motivated professional who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, a strategic and creative mindset, and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth. Experience with procurement ERP systems and familiarity with the marine, maritime, or cruise industry are considered strong advantages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
