Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an Analyst/Sr Analyst in Fort Worth, TX, to join the Planning & Performance Analytics team within Sales Operations. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insights that influence high-impact decisions across managed corporate, AAdvantage, and agency programs.

You’ll develop dashboards, perform ad-hoc analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with large datasets and deriving data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, SQL).
  • Certification in data analysis or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in account management or a related field
  • Experience working with large datasets and developing data-driven insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or a related field
  • Experience working in the airline industry or a related field
  • Experience with programming languages
  • Certification in data analysis or a related field

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and quality in work products
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
