Cardinal Health is recruiting for a US-wide Revenue Cycle Management role that supports billing and claims processing. The position is full-time with remote hours, typically M-F 8:30-5:00 EST, and may adapt to business needs.

Qualifications

• HS, GED, or bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Proficient with computer systems and 10 key calculators
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred

What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health

Revenue Cycle Management team focuses on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

• Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims
• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary
• Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness
