Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst to forecast demand, optimize replenishment, and ensure product availability across our fast-moving assortment. You will analyze sales data, collaborate with Buyers, Planners, and suppliers, and translate insights into actionable replenishment strategies.

The role emphasizes data accuracy, use of SAP/Blue Yonder/Oracle, Excel dashboards, and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years in demand planning, replenishment, inventory management, analytics or related field.
• Proficiency in forecasting and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Blue Yonder, Oracle).
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
• Order Management System experience, Bamboo Rose a plus.
• SQL/Python/R experience a plus.
• Analytical thinking with data-driven decision making.
• Attention to detail in forecasting and ordering.
• Strong communication and cross-stakeholder collaboration.
• Problem-solving and implementation of systemic improvements.

Position Summary

The role is responsible for analyzing inventory data, forecasting demand, and optimizing replenishment orders to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory. This role involves working with sales data, internal teams, and market trends to develop accurate forecasts and efficient replenishment strategies. The role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance inventory management processes.

Responsibilities

Forecasting & Demand Planning

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, seasonal trends, and market insights.
• Utilize forecasting tools and statistical models to predict future inventory needs.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models based on demand fluctuations.
• Experience with core demand forecasting concepts such as run rates, seasonality, lost sales, safety stock

Replenishment & Ordering

• Optimize replenishment strategies to balance stock availability with cost efficiency.
• Generate and review replenishment orders, ensuring timely and accurate stock levels.
• Adjust ordering parameters based on sales trends, promotions, and internal business needs.
• Leverage replenishment suggested order quantities from Invent to write purchase orders in Bamboo Rose

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze key metrics such as inventory turnover, fill rates, and stock levels to drive replenishment decisions.
• Identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities within replenishment processes.
• Provide reports and insights to leadership on inventory health, demand patterns, and replenishment performance
• Perform analyses and provide recommendations to support inventory and replenishment decisions.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Directly work with Buyers, Planners, Allocation Analysts and Suppliers on the inventory strategy and future forecasts for the core replenishment assortment.
• Support system enhancements and automation initiatives for forecasting and replenishment.
• Help develop best practices for inventory planning and replenishment efficiency and how our team will partner with cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in demand planning, replenishment, inventory management, analytics or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in forecasting and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Blue Yonder, Oracle, etc.).
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with interpreting user stories to create reports in reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Order Management System experience, Bamboo Rose a plus
• SQL/Python/R experience a plus
• Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in forecasting and ordering.
• Communication Skills: Ability to present findings and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues, recommending effective solutions, and implementing those solutions systemically.
