Job summary

Five Below is seeking an Inventory Analyst to forecast demand and optimize stock levels across 500–1,000 SKUs, supporting up to $200M in annual sales. You will build Power BI dashboards with the Data Science team and partner with Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Supply Chain to drive inventory health.

Strong Excel skills and cross-functional communication are essential; Power BI or Tableau experience is a plus as we push data-driven decisions to improve turns and in-store presentation.

• Advanced Excel; Power BI/Tableau a bonus.

OB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales and Demand Forecasting: Oversee businesses with 500-1,000 SKUs, driving up to $200M annually Partner with cross-functional teams togatherinsights, analyze historical datato accuratelyforecast demand for various products Utilize inventory management systems and tools to review demand forecasts andmanage inventory optimization Review key inventory reporting,highlighting key performance metrics andmaking data-driven recommendationsforinventory improvements Identifying opportunities and risks, recognizing trends by product category and attribute at the individual store and store group level

Inventory Optimization: Setappropriate stock levels for each productcategoryat the correct allocatable level to minimizeoverstock and understock situations to ensureoptimal inventory turn. Partner with manager to develop replenishment plans for each productcategory and SKU,considering lead times,order quantities, and reorder points Analyze actual sales results compared to plan, re‑working future flow plans as needed Regularly analyze sales performance to identify slow‑moving itemsto assist making decisions such as discontinuations or clearance Control optimal multi-warehouse inventory levels

Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reporting on inventory performance and work with your manager to recommend strategy adjustments as needed Partner with Data Science team to help transform manual data sets into dynamic Power BI dashboards that fuel analysis and deliberate changes Work cross functionally to develop a story from large data sets to create an action plan accordingly

Communication and Collaboration: Cross-collaborate closely with (but not limited to) Buying, Planning, Visual Merchandising and Supply Chain to ensure effective communication and coordination Communicate inventory positions for designated product categories to your manager Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with a cross-functional team focused on driving sales and optimal store presentation levels

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in inventory management Effective cross-functional collaboration and communication skills Ability to analyze data and provide actionable feedback. A strong problem-solving skillset Capable of prioritizing workload in a fast paced and dynamic environment Sense of urgency and excitement to be a part of a high-growth retail environment Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn systems quickly. Power BI or Tableau experience a bonus
