Job summary

Five Below is seeking an Associate Planner to lead merch planning, assortment analysis, and inventory optimization across departments. You will translate corporate targets into seasonal plans, manage SKUs, and forecast demand to maintain optimal inventory levels and drive margin growth.

Ideal candidates bring 5–7 years of retail planning experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence pricing and promotions.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in a retail or wholesale environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of PowerBI, Microstrategy, Oracle RMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop seasonal sales, inventory, and margin plans by department and store groups.
• Determine assortments and manage SKU & style intensive categories.
• Develop sales forecasts and buy quantity estimates to optimize inventory levels.
• Manage open-to-buy budgets ($50–$150M) to align inventory with sales and margin targets.
• Analyze sales performance and provide pricing, promotions, and markdown recommendations.
• Generate regular reports and insights on sales, inventory, and profitability for senior management.
