Maximus is seeking an Analyst, Pursuit Operations to support planning, coordination, and execution of complex business development pursuits and proposals. You will maintain schedules, workplans, trackers, milestone calendars, and status reporting to keep teams aligned and on track for deadlines.

The role requires strong organization, detail orientation, and the ability to collaborate with proposal, pricing, operations, sales, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3+ years of professional experience or equivalent.
• Specialized experience organizing pursuit schedules, workplans, logs, trackers, milestones and risk registers.
• Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, deadline discipline, and cross-team coordination.
• Ability to use AI-enabled tools for summarization, action organization, and tracking.
• Proficiency with Excel, Teams, SharePoint and collaboration tools preferred.
• Home office requires reliable high-speed internet and defined speeds.

Responsibilities

• Support pursuit readiness activities by maintaining schedules and workstream materials.
• Maintain workplans, action-item logs, decision trackers, milestones and risk registers.
• Track owner assignments, due dates, dependencies, and follow-up items.
• Monitor milestones, flag schedule risks, escalate barriers to leadership.
• Coordinate questions, meetings, reminders across writing, pricing, ops, sales, and proposals.
• Prepare concise status updates on progress, deadlines, risks, decisions, and next steps.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to summarize updates and improve tracker maintenance.

Maximus is hiring an Analyst, Pursuit Operations to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of complex business development pursuits and proposal activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining pursuit readiness by managing schedules, workplans, action trackers, milestone calendars, and status reporting to ensure teams remain aligned and on track to meet key deadlines.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Working closely with proposal, pricing, operations, sales, and other cross-functional teams, the Analyst, Pursuit Operations will monitor progress, track actions and dependencies, identify schedule risks, and facilitate timely follow-up on decisions and deliverables. Success in this role requires strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, action tracking, and overall pursuit efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support pursuit readiness activities before and after RFP release by maintaining schedules, trackers, and workstream coordination materials.




• Maintain workplans, action-item logs, decision trackers, milestone calendars, risk registers, and status reports for assigned workstreams.




• Track owner assignments, due dates, dependencies, open items, and follow-up actions to support schedule adherence.




• Monitor pursuit milestones, flag schedule risks, and escalates barriers requiring leadership attention.




• Coordinate questions, meetings, reminders, and follow-ups across writing, pricing, operations, sales, and proposal teams.




• Prepare concise status updates that summarize progress, upcoming deadlines, risks, decisions, and next steps.




• Use approved AI-enabled tools to help summarize updates, organize action items, streamline tracker maintenance, and improve follow-up efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

'- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Program Requirements:

-Specialized experience needed: organizing and maintaining pursuit schedules, workplans, action-item logs, decision trackers, milestone calendars, risk registers, status reports, meeting notes, and follow-up materials.

-Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, responsiveness, deadline discipline, and ability to coordinate across multiple contributors.

-Must be able to identify incomplete information, flag schedule risks, prepare concise updates, and use approved AI-enabled tools to support summarization, action organization, tracker maintenance, and follow-up efficiency.

-Strong Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration-tool skills preferred.
