Job summary

Join to apply for the Analyst, Pricing & Estimating role at WestRock Company

The Materials Estimator will provide complete and accurate component/material estimates within the specified time frame using SWRMD proprietary and estimation software and outside vendors’ information. You will use approved sources for outside items and utilize the vendor pricing matrix to identify costs for components, where available. You will also consult with manufacturing staff to determine the best method to produce components internally and develop, maintain, and share a database of sources for outsourced components.

You will identify standard items and the proper standard cost for those items, assist Sales and Project Management in developing sell prices, and respond to large requests for pricing from customers. Additionally, you will develop and follow methodologies for preparing and submitting large quotes to customers.

• Participate in new technology introductions and/or implementations.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers to meet their needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete orders, improve processes, and enhance performance.

• Create accurate and timely reports, deliver engaging presentations, and share information promptly. Listen attentively.
• Pay attention to detail and accuracy, seek continuous improvement, identify root causes of problems, own and act on problems, and look for opportunities to increase efficiency.
• Focus on customer satisfaction by building confidence, setting realistic expectations, resolving issues promptly, and gathering feedback.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2-4 years of industry or estimating experience.
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
