Job summary

Zydus Pharmaceuticals (USA) Inc. is seeking a pricing and contract professional to establish, maintain, and analyze customer contracts and pricing documentation, and to recommend actions that optimize pricing decisions and profitability.

You will coordinate cross-functionally to prepare RFPs, rebates, contract loads, amendments, and new product launches, monitor pricing exceptions, and support financial analysis across assigned accounts while ensuring compliance with policies and legal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related business major.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ related work experience in the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry with a minimum of 1 year of commercial pricing and contracting experience.
  • Experience developing and customizing documents from templates.
  • Must be able to handle a large volume of transactions and maintain high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and work well within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint skills required.
  • SAP/Vistex experience a plus
  • Analytical with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quantitative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing, preparation, maintenance, and analysis of customer contracts and pricing documentation.
  • Monitor pricing activities (RFPs, pricing, rebates, contract loads, amendments) to meet policies and sales goals.
  • Assist in gathering data, monitoring performance, and preparing financial analysis for assigned accounts.
  • Participate in contract and pricing preparation, administration, and customer contract activities per policies and law.
  • Open new accounts and maintain customer master information.
  • Work with chargeback team to monitor transactions and ensure accurate membership.
  • Build relationships with wholesaler contracts for proper loading of contracts, memberships, and pricing.
  • Prepare documents for new product launches or pricing changes (templates, VIR programs, promotions, registrations, and notifications).
  • Interact with internal/external personnel to resolve discrepancies in customer information.
  • Review daily pricing exceptions.
  • Evaluate methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin; assess impact of pricing changes on accounts.
  • Compile and maintain competitive and pricing data from external and internal sources.
  • Maintain price mailbox and update Contract Master File after customer agreements.
  • Assist Finance with gross-to-net calculations, deductions, shelf stock adjustments, and chargeback issues.
  • Assist Customer Service and Chargeback Team with pricing-related errors.
  • Understand industry standards and company policies.
  • Run and maintain sales/metrics reports (bid detail report).
  • Maintain customer product portals.
  • Report trends and non-compliant transactions.
  • Resolve complex issues autonomously or in a team.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required.
  • Participate in industry training and special projects as needed.

  • Interacts with internal and external personnel to resolve discrepancies relative to customer information.
  • Reviews daily pricing exceptions.
  • Evaluates methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies and competitive pricing and potential pricing change impact on customer’s book of business.
  • Compiles and maintains relevant competitive and pricing data utilizing external sources and internal systems.
