Job summary

Zydus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Pennington, NJ is seeking a Pricing & Contracts Analyst to establish and maintain customer contracts and pricing. You will manage RFPs, rebates, and contract loads while ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.

The role requires 2–4 years in the generic pharmaceutical industry with pricing and contracting experience, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in MS Office. The position is office-based with minimal travel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related business major.
  • 2–4 years’ related work experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry with at least 1 year in commercial pricing and contracting.
  • Experience developing and customizing documents from templates.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of transactions with high accuracy.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; SAP/Vistex experience is a plus.
  • Analytical with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to grasp concepts quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quantitative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, prepare, maintain, and analyze customer contracts and pricing documentation.
  • Monitor and execute all pricing activities (RFPs, rebates, contract loads, amendments) with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist in data gathering, performance monitoring, and financial analysis for customer segments.
  • Support contract and pricing administration and customer contract activities per policies and regulations.
  • Open new accounts and maintain customer master data.
  • Coordinate with chargeback team to ensure accurate memberships and transactions.
  • Load contracts, pricing and memberships for wholesalers; manage related documentation.
  • Prepare documents for product launches or pricing changes (templates, VIR programs, promotions, registrations).
  • Resolve discrepancies in customer information with internal/external teams.
  • Review daily pricing exceptions and assess pricing strategy impacts.
  • Compile competitive and pricing data from external and internal sources.
  • Maintain price mailbox and update Contract Master File after agreements.
  • Assist Finance with gross-to-net calculations and deductions, stock adjustments, and chargeback issues.
  • Support Customer Service and Chargeback teams on pricing-related issues.
  • Stay aligned with industry standards and company policies.
  • Run sales/metrics reports and maintain customer product portals.
  • Identify pricing trends and non-compliant transactions.
  • Work autonomously and in teams; participate in special projects and industry training.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the establishment, preparation, maintenance, and analysis of customer contracts and pricing documentation, and for making recommendations that will facilitate optimal pricing decisions.
  • Effectively prepares, monitors and executes all pricing activities (formal RFPs, pricing, product availability, rebates, incentives, contract loads, amendments etc.) using a cross-functional approach to ensure company policies and sales goals are met and maintained.
  • Assists manager in gathering data, monitoring performance and preparing financial analysis in support of assigned customer segments and accounts.
  • Participates in contract and pricing preparation, contract and pricing administration, and customer contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Opens new accounts and maintains customer master information.
  • Works closely with chargeback team to monitor transactions and ensure accurate membership.
  • Build relationship with wholesaler contracts to ensure proper loading of contracts, memberships and pricing.
  • Prepares and communicates all necessary documents required in support of new product launches or widespread pricing changes i.e. New Product Offer Templates, VIR Programs, Sales Promotions, Texas Medicaid Agencies submissions, Puerto Rico Registration documents, and Trade Pricing Compendia notifications.
  • Interacts with internal and external personnel to resolve discrepancies relative to customer information.
  • Reviews daily pricing exceptions.
  • Evaluates methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies and competitive pricing and potential pricing change impact on customer’s book of business.
  • Compiles and maintains relevant competitive and pricing data utilizing external sources and internal systems.
  • Maintains price Mailbox
  • Updates Contract Master File upon completion of customer agreements.
  • Assists Finance with gross-to-net calculations for accruals, with resolving customer sales deductions, with reporting material shelf stock adjustments, and with resolving chargeback denial issues.
  • Assists Customer Service and Chargeback Team with researching and resolving pricing-related errors.
  • Understands industry standards, Zydus policies, processes and business standards.
  • Runs and maintains sales/metrics reports (bid detail report).
  • Maintains customer product portals.
  • Report and identify trends and non-compliant transactions.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Perform other related duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required.
  • Participate in industry training to ensure alignment to industry standards and best practices
  • Participate in special projects as needed
